Parent Teachers Association

The PTA mission is to make the school a better place for children to learn. Parents support teachers by volunteering in classes and and assisting in raising money for school supplies and for the general uplifting of the school.

The SBP school PTA provides a great opportunity for all our parents and teachers to get involved. This year, like all other years prior we implore parents to support the various activities of the PTA geared towards uniting us to improve the school's offering.

Southborough Primary school is supported by a PTA body which is headed by an executive. The executive is elected bi-annually in September to oversee the PTA affairs. The PTA President normally represents the parents on the School Board.

Each class selects or elects a Class Representative who is responsible to make representation to the PTA Executive and/or the school’s administration on issues affecting the class. PTA meetings are held bi monthly; they are an opportunity to update parents about happenings at school and to discuss issues affecting the smooth operation of the school, and develop programmes and polices geared towards delivering quality education to our children.
